In January 2015, after a rigorous audit by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI), Goldstar Chauffeur Drive was the first chauffeur company in Ireland to achieve the globally recognised ISO certification of Quality Management System to I.S. EN ISO 9001:2008 standard. This certification remains valid until 2018 subject to Goldstar being successful in the annual audits conducted by the NSAI.
Goldstar also achieved the ISO certification of Occupational Health and Safety Management System to OHSAS 18001:2007 (also valid until 2018 and subject to passing annual NSAI audit).
ISO is the ultimate global benchmark for quality management. It sets out the steps necessary to adopt a quality management system. It is designed to help organisations ensure they meet the needs and expectations of both customers and other interested parties, based on internationally recognised quality management principles set out by the International Standards Organisation (ISO).
At the heart of the standard is a quality policy and set of systems and principles that tie together our business objectives, customer needs and our marketing plan. When this approach to quality is embedded across our business, every employee understands how their actions create a better customer experience and processes are put in place to continually review and improve that customer experience.
Internal processes are streamlined, improving efficiency, cost containment and savings, whilst improving accountability and traceability.
Perhaps the most important element of the standard however, is that it is not a one-off exercise. Regular reviews keeps quality at the forefront of our business, with continuous improvement processes driving the way our business develops to better meet customer needs.
